THE MIND OF A MAVERICK... deep and poetic

The world is a theatre, too bad if you ain’t got no script
Sitting on the fence gives the best view but can never change you
Days stay the same for people who keep watch over the sun
I live my life solving the puzzle of a mind inundated with enigmas

If I put my thoughts in your head your brain would bleed
They say a man drops from a womb, crawls under the sun next drops into a grave
If that describes your life then you are simply sleepwalking
Dwindling in a miasma of a confused uncertainty

They say there are two days in a man’s life
The day he was born and the day he knows why
Some people don’t even get past day one
They still babies, not yet growing the balls to face life

I look at the sun - the silent witness of times and civilisations
The sun has watched over generations of men and beasts
Men who became gods, and men who became beasts
There is no middle ground, every man would have to make a choice

Whatever you become is a choice you made, a vow fulfilled
Problem is, if you’re sleepwalking you won’t know when you make it
Blaming the rest of creation is accepting defeat because by then you’d already failed
Men has risen from the dusts to the stables of kings so watch your tongue

Every man is given the opportunity to be great
Every man is also given the opportunity to be the worst a man can be
What makes a man is the mind - the intangible substance that directs your course
The mind has infinite power, know thyself, become a maverick!
